Commit to Thrive Brunch Series

Join us for exceptional speakers, delicious food, and drinks. Every brunch, we’re featuring a special guest speaker to inspire us! You’ll walk away with the words of wisdom you needed to hear—along with the tools you will need to take action to continue the growth on your journey.

Brunch guests can choose from a world-class menu that includes shrimp and grits, french toast, fried chicken, fried fish, fresh fruit, homemade biscuits, potatoes, and mimosas. The cost of admission includes world-famous food, delicious drinks, and access to a network of women in business and resources.


For over one year, Myla Reese Poree has been educating, creating community, and through engagements such as hosting the Momming, Surviving, and Thriving podcast and retreat and speaking at Enterprising Women of Color, Loyola Executive Mentorship Program, and 101 Women in Business Panel.


This brunch covers the topic Leading with Humility, where women industry leaders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs can come together to discuss and grow in the area. Each brunch explores topics related to being a woman of color in leadership and entrepreneurship in a safe and supportive environment. 


The event is taking place at Dooky Chase's in New Orleans. The 4-generation run restaurant was opened by Chef Leah Chase, known as the "Queen of Creole Cuisine," and has fed Quincy Jones, Jesse Jackson, Duke Ellington, Thurgood Marshall, James Baldwin, Ray Charles, Presidents George W. Bush, and Barack Obama and countless others as Executive Chef of Dooky Chase's Restaurant. Leah Chase was also the inspiration for Princess Tiana in Disney's Princess and the Frog—and is Myla's grandmother!
